It’s a simple fact:
Not all big affiliate offers “Crushed It” right out of the gate.
One unconfirmed affiliate marketing legend has it that GiddyUp’s PhotoStick offer kicked around for a few months before an enterprising affiliate tested a few unique creatives that completely changed the game and generated over $90 Million USD in revenue as a result.
So how can you find these kinds of “Sleeping Giant” affiliate offers that are hiding in plain sight?
Here’s one way to do it using VidTao 2.0’s new feature…
Step 1: Find Promising Long-Form Ad Inside VidTao 2.0’s Affiliate View

Take note on 3 things specifically
Notice 3 key pieces of data here:
1) Big Historic Spend. This ad has a solid amount of spend behind it (over a quarter million USD). This means the OFFER itself converts.
2) The Ad is “Asleep”. But notice that this ad does NOT have much spend at all in the past 30 days.

Significant spend in the past year (Notice in the adspend vs. time graph above, the ad was scaling until the end of last December). Even though the ad is “asleep”, this recency makes it much more likely that the offer itself is not outdated / stopped working entirely.

Let’s dive into that next…
Ok now we have a Video Salesletter (VSL) that we know did convert, very well, in the not-too-distant past. (In this case, within the past year)
What happened? WHY did this ad stop working after $250k+ spent?
The most likely culprit: Creative Fatigue.
(here’s a more detailed post we did on how to combat creative fatigue on YouTube)
At our YouTube Advertising agency Inceptly, (where we’ve helped our Direct Response clients generate over $950M USD revenue via video advertising) we see it time and time again:
All ad creatives (even the best ones) have a limited lifespan.
And the easiest way to extend the lifespan of a winning creative?
Add a new intro to a proven winner.
Let’s take a closer look at all the long-form ads that have run for this offer (in this case all around 27-28 minutes):
All 3 long-form ads have EXACTLY the same intro:
Now when we zoom in and look at all the ads running for this offer, you’ll see a couple things:
First, all ads are running to a variation of the same landing page:

For each, you have the same VSL above the fold followed by a long form text sales page.
As for the ads: Even though the main long form ads are not running, right now there IS actually a short form ad (2:01 long) running at small spend, pointed at these same landing pages:
So what’s the easiest way to “wake up” this particular Sleeping Giant offer?
Simple:
We are going to create a NEW video with the offer’s existing assets we have to work with here:
Hook/Intro: We will add part of the short form ad on as the “hook” that will lead into this long form video.
“Core”: We are going to keep the “core” of the ad the same: the main ~28 minute VSL. We know it converts.
Here’s the specifics on one way to slice these ingredients into a single new ad:
